My first Wash n' goHi Guys! Today was the first day of school for me and although I was super nervous, I was excited about finally trying to do a wash and go on my own. It was not as bad as I thought. I washed it twice to make sure that my scalp was clean. I usually co-wash with conditioner but I shampooed with Shea Moisture's Sacha Inichi Oil Omega 3, 6, 9 Rescue & Repair Clarifying Shampoo w/ Quinoa & Rose of Jerico Extracts (Whew that's a long name!). Then I deep conditioned with Shea Moisture's Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Hair Masque w/ African Rock Fig & Baobab Oil (I have to give ya'll all of the ingredients!). After I got out of the shower for the second time, while my hair was soaking wet I began sectioning my hair into to small sections and applying a layer of Shea Moisture's Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie. It is for thick, curly hair. Then I put ECO styler gel (the green one) on top to hold the curl. It took me about 35 minutes to do my entire head. It started to air dry and I like how the curls came together. When I went to bed the middle was still a little wet so I pulled it up in a pineapple. The next morning I could tell that the frizz was about to take over. On top of that, IT WAS RAINING!!! I decided not to stress about it and focus on having a good day at school. Overall, I liked my results using these products and will be experimenting on creating more wash and go styles.
