The Atlanta Tech Village is one of the largest technology hubs in the world. The building is so nice inside! I do not have class on Wednesdays so they invited me out to tour the building. It is basically 1 huge office space for entrepreneurs who are interested in tech startups. Even though I am interested in Science, technology is everywhere so learning about ATV was fun. I met a few female entrepreneurs with different college degrees like marketing, counseling, and computer engineering. They were very smart and have backgrounds similar to mine. They gave me some really good advice on staying balanced with all of my college work and other priorities.
Did I mention how nice the space was! I think every office should look like ATV. They can work standing up or on treadmills. They have game rooms, nap rooms, and snack rooms with FREE snacks for their employees. You can tell that they play hard because they work hard. I would not mind working for a startup if it fits what I want to do. Of course I have a while to decide...I want to thank Lauren Patrick who started at ATV and graduated to her own building across from ATV. Her startup Terminus is an account based marketing company. I visited Terminus as well and they gave me some nice swag!
I definitely learned a lot and tried real coffee for the first time (I usually get a creme' frappe from Starbucks).
I would come back anytime! Especially for the snacks and the nap room!
